John Andrew Colby (born April 23, 1949) is an American music producer composer and keyboardist. He produced the score for the 1980 Academy Award nominated Ken Burns documentary "Brooklyn Bridge〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Brooklyn Bridge )〕” , wrote and produced the score for the Academy Award nominee “The Garden of Eden” , and received a Grammy (1989) as producer for the soundtrack of Ken Burns “Civil War” in the best traditional folk category.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=The Civil War )〕 He was music director of ESPN 1984-1992 and wrote The Sportscenter theme (dadada) the most well known sports theme of its time.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Meet Sports Center theme composer )〕 As keyboardist and band leader for the late Clarence Clemons he produced Live in Asbury Park I and II.
